Quinoa Breakfast Cereal with Apples or Pears


    • 1 cup quinoa
    • 2 cup unsweetened rice, almond or coconut milk
    • 1/2 – 3/4 cup diced apple or pear (I usually peel the fruit)
    • 1 Tablespoon sunflower seeds
    • 1 Tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (or more!)
    • a little raw honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired

Rinse quinoa and add non-dairy milk.

Bring to a boil.

Add all other ingredients.

Return to a boil and then simmer on low until all liquid is absorbed (approx. 15 minutes).
